REVELATION, CONFUSION AND NEUTRALIZING CHRISTIANS
Part 2 of 4 essays
If I were going to destroy (bring down) America:
(1) I would not attempt it by way of a sudden military strike. Rather, I would erode the moral and legal foundations: If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? (Ps 11:3). I would outlaw prayer and Bible reading in the public schools in order to deprive future generations of an awareness of their sacred heritage and commensurate duties in this fallen world. I would gag the clergy and threaten them and their churches with government sanctions based on 501(c) 3 tax status, and “hate crimes” such as preaching the biblical view of the abomination of homosexuality. I would remove every recognition of God from the federal buildings and from our coinage. I would belittle and mock the Founding Fathers and cast them as “opportunists”. Note: much of the above has already been accomplished or is in progress.
(2) I would slowly disarm America’s vital missile defenses and essential state-of-the-art counter-strike weapons systems, as President Obama has pledged to do (see my 6/7/09 blog essay: “Is Obama Crippling U.S. Military Defense?”).
(3) Simultaneously, I would take the militancy out of the church, replacing it with “tolerance” and passive “love”; focus on every conceivable social activity; invert the meaning of the centerpiece of Christian commitment and action, “love”, reducing it to mean gushy sentimentalism, not Christ’s battle cry: This is love, that we walk after His commandments (2 John6). To“walk” is a full action mandate. I would change the thrust of the church’s teachings to “victorious personal living”, and end-times rapture-based prophesy.
The famous theologian/professor Dr. R. C. Sproul summarized America’s deteriorating condition today:
“Wearing a benign mask, the secularist loudly proclaims his commitment to religious tolerance on behalf of those weak-minded souls who still cannot bear to face a hostile, or worse, an indifferent universe, without the narcotic effect of ecclesiastical opium. The church is safe from vicious persecution at the hands of the secularist, as educated people have finished with stake-burning circuses and torture racks. No martyr’s blood is shed in the secularist West – so long as the church knows her place and remains quietly at peace on her modern reservation. Let the babes pray and sing and read their Bibles, continuing steadfast in their intellectual retardation; the church’s extinction will come not by sword or pillory, but with the quiet death of irrelevance. It will pass away with a whimper not a bang. But let the church step off the reservation, let her penetrate once more the culture of the day, and the Janus face of secularism will change from benign smile to savage snarl.”
(4) Next, as part of my plan to destroy America, following the erosion of her foundations and the extraction of the teeth of militancy from her churches and her men, and substituting passive "love" and "tolerance" to blur definition of our mortal enemies, I would capitalize on the loss of orientation and purpose of America's Christians by focusing on the Book of Revelation, and on the “end times” and “last days” by introducing all manner of confusing interpretations about the future and when Christ will return (Second Coming) to defeat the anti-Christ on our behalf.
(5) I would emphasize the doctrine of “free” salvation, that is, of salvation without responsibility and the duty to obey Christ’s mandates, thus making such obedience an option, not an evidence of salvation. I would stress that nothing is expected or required of a “born-again” Christian because all that is necessary for him to have a place in paradise, is his proclamation of faith. (Salvation without the fruit of works focuses on one’s self, not on service to Christ.)
Many are deceived into thinking that inasmuch as salvation is by grace, not by works, works are not important to Christ. The fact is that “works” (the real power factor from the newly indwelling Holy Spirit) are the irresistible manifestation and outflowing evidence of one’s salvation, Spiritual transformation, and empowerment by the Holy Spirit. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?(James 2:20). Outflowing works, inspired and directed by the indwelling Holy Spirit, are the power factor which gives the born-again Christian his spiritual vision, discernment, and fearless determination to triumph over Satan in his innumerable manifestations. No – simply “saying” you accept Christ as Lord and Savior does not give you a highway and bus to heaven. God will not be mocked. Conversely, Satan is no match for a truly born-again transformed (energized) Christian.
(6) I would next introduce a factor of utter confusion, though the most commonly accepted interpretation regarding Revelation, the “rapture” of the church, which is to be followed by the invasion of Israel from the north by Gog and Magog, thereafter by 7 years of great “tribulation” on the earth, which will begin with a man of peace signing a peace treaty with Israel that allows them to rebuild their temple.
Next blog post (#3) will concern the prophesied return of Christ "in the clouds", His 1,000-years reign and the establishment of a "new heaven and new earth", in contrast to the Christian Doxology and to Ephesians 3:21 which declare that the "world is without end"; and how those beliefs relate to the confusion and neutralizing of America's Christians at an hour when the maximum of clear vision and duty (obedience to Christ) is required of them.

Military vulnerability
(2) I would slowly disarm America’s vital missile defenses and essential state-of-the-art counter-strike weapons systems, as President Obama has pledged to do (see my 6/7/09 blog essay: “Is Obama Crippling U.S. Military Defense?”).

Classic Sproul
The famous theologian/professor Dr. R. C. Sproul summarized America’s deteriorating condition today:
“Wearing a benign mask, the secularist loudly proclaims his commitment to religious tolerance on behalf of those weak-minded souls who still cannot bear to face a hostile, or worse, an indifferent universe, without the narcotic effect of ecclesiastical opium. Extracting the teeth

Grace vs (?) works
Many are deceived into thinking that inasmuch as salvation is by grace, not by works, works are not important to Christ. The fact is that “works” (the real power factor from the newly indwelling Holy Spirit) are the irresistible manifestation and outflowing evidence of one’s salvation, Spiritual transformation, and empowerment by the Holy Spirit. Conversely, Satan is no match for a truly born-again transformed (energized) Christian.
Peace?
(6) I would next introduce a factor of utter confusion, though the most commonly accepted interpretation regarding Revelation, the “rapture” of the church, which is to be followed by the invasion of Israel from the north by Gog and Magog, thereafter by 7 years of great “tribulation” on the earth, which will begin with a man of peace signing a peace treaty with Israel that allows them to rebuild their temple.
