IF I WERE THE ENEMY OF AMERICA'S SACRED FREEDOMS

The following series of 4 posts comprise a story of how a deadly, paralyzing, anti-Christian cancer has been gradually injected into a Christian-founded nation long known as the light and hope of the world ... an oasis of life in a sea of godlessness, suffering, and death - a beacon of freedom once invincible to tyranny.

For decades, the cancer has eaten away at America’s heart, rendering her Christians confused and increasingly impotent in the face of ruthless evil which has one objective – her destruction..

From confrontation to surrender

The cancer has caused untold millions of church-going Christians to shift their focus away from subduing the wiles of the devil in THIS world, as Christ commands them to do with unrelenting vigilance, that is, to Occupy till I come (Luke 19:13); to concentration on an escape into paradise by means of the much-debated “rapture” which will signal the onset of the prophesied “tribulation”, “Armageddon”, Second Coming of Christ, His 1,000-year reign, followed by the “judgment” and eternal paradise with the Lord in a “New Heaven” and “New Earth”.

The one thing Christians have that is absolutely incontrovertibly unchangeably true and certain is their duty to live and be triumphant in THIS world prior to the rapture. Heaven and earth will pass away…but…his truth [laws] endureth to all generations (Mat. 24:36 & Psalm 100:5); to obey the action mandates of Christ, and in return to reap the Lord’s blessings for themselves and posterity, trusting that Christ will return when He is ready, NOT when our Bible scholars determine that He will: But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only (Mat. 24:36).

All tyrants recognize that America’s strength, power and resolve have historically been rooted in her churches, that is, as French historian Alexis deTocqueville expressed it: “Americans combine the notions of Christianity and of liberty so intimately in their minds, that it is impossible to make them conceive of one without the other.”

Christianity brought to man an action-packed Christ-serving militancy of conviction which permeated every dimension of personal and national life in the spiritual, ideological and political realms, all exhaustively detailed in the Bible and cast within the framework of individual citizen responsibility.

The ultimate authority on government and freedom

In fact, the Fathers contended that inasmuch as Christ was (is) the Author of liberty, there was no more exhaustive book about politics, government and freedom than the Holy Bible. Thus they prayerfully drew upon it’s precepts in writing the Declaration of Independence (a declaration of man’s God-given right to be free), and the U.S. Constitution (the laws to establish our checks and balances Republic necessary to secure the divine rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness as set forth in the Declaration.

What we have

When God, the Author of Liberty, governs in every citizen’s life, and His governing manifests itself as an awareness of duty, responsibility and the highest level of moral integrity, the citizens will be happy, free and their nation militarily prepared and invincible. Invincible, because Christianity recognizes and deals with the “fallen nature of man” and his propensity to enslave his fellow man, and that The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked (Jer. 17:9). In fact, that is why our Republic was grounded upon a system of checks and balances (Isaiah 33:22) and upon the “pillars of freedom” a/k/a The Ten Commandments.

If I were going to destroy America

Part 2 will concern the use of prophesy and speculated end-times time tables to strip the power from America's Christians and render them passive, surrendered spectators in the bleachers instead of warriors on the temporal battlefronts of "this world" where Christ commands them to be.

As you will see in my three upcoming blog posts, were I an enemy of America I would use last-days end-times, rapture at any-moment, prophesy to render Christians incapable of defining and identifying their earthly enemies; and to decimate their normal fighting spirit and will to win. At the same time I would create a longing among them for a painless escape through the rapture, from their duties to Christ in this life on this planet. I would promote (market) this "abandonment" theology in the name of Christ.

Note: At no time did God the Father or Jesus Christ Himself anywhere in the Old or New Testaments advocate or suggest that less than maximum effort and commitment by believers could be justified under any pretense, certainly not speculation on the future.
